Quotes and enquiries

All enquiries must be made by filling out our contact for on the website. To get an accurate quote please give me as much information about your event at first contact such as name, email address, type of event, requirements, venue location, date, numbers of guests and budget. Once we checked our availability we will then move forward with options and pricing.

We are an all inclusive event styling company. We don’t hire out single items.

Packages can be tailored to meet your needs. If you wish to go ahead with your booking a 30% deposit will be required to secure the date. This is payable by bank transfer. Once your deposit is paid you will receive your receipt and booking confirmation by email within the following 24 hours. The outstanding balance should be paid the 4 days before your event, before. Wedding balances are due 4 weeks before the wedding date.

All hires are for 24hours, please bare this in mind when arranging set up time. A standard set will take approximately 2 hours, larger events will naturally take longer. This will be determined with the quote. Hire starts from when the set up is complete.

Security deposit

A £100 security deposit is required with all bookings. This is to be paid at the same time as the final balance, 2 days before the event. We won’t go ahead with the booking without the security deposit. Larger events will have a larger security deposit, this will be determined at the quote stage.

Security deposit will be returned 24 hours after collection provided there is no damage to the props. General ware and tear is expected. We are aware that accidents happen, we have them too. Miss use and disregard to the equipment will result in loss of deposit.

Glass breakage is charged at £1.50 a glass.

Things that will result in loss of security deposit.

All glasses, table ware and crockery must be cleaned before we collect. Glasses must not be washed in a dish washer.

Smoking is not permitted in or near any of our kits. The bell tents and igloo especially.

Once we have completed our set, it must not be moved or adjusted.

We don’t allow anything to be attached to our equipment especially our backdrops. If you wish to have something attached please request a member of staff to do so.

Outdoor footwear is not permitted inside the bell tents.

It is the customers responsibility to measure up their space according before making a booking with us. All the relevant sizes and information is available on our website. If we arrive and the set up cant be executed correctly, not only will there be a loss of security deposit. The customer will also lose up to 75% of their payment. As this is used for fuel, stock staff wages, food, balloons and any other services sub contracted from other companies. Every event is individual and takes weeks to prepare for.



Cancellation Policy

We don’t offer a refund of deposit if event is cancelled unless the event has to be cancelled due to COVID 19 government restrictions. As the deposit is used to purchase any stock required for the event. I do how ever offer a date change providing it is 4 weeks prior to the original event date.

Changes to the booking are not permitted after 4 weeks prior to the event. Deposits are used to buy the extras needed for each individual event.

We have a tight schedule and set routine when setting for our events. We kindly ask to be left to our job until the agreed set up finish time. We normally require access to electricity and hot water for final cleaning. We ask that non of our tools and equipment be used or moved.

Our set up is only complete when we have taken our photos and videos. No items have to be added to our set ups until they are complete.

All photography and videos taken of styling in venues and homes remain to intellectual property of Backdrops and Buttercream and may be showcased on several social media platforms for marketing purposes. upon booking you are agreeing to exclusive use of material by Backdrops and Buttercream unless otherwise requested prior to settling your invoice.

Feedback and reviews

Feedback is always welcomed even if it’s not positive. If you experience any problems we need to know about to fix it, to enable us to provide the best possible service. Once your event is over and we have collected the kit, we will send a link to our review page. We appreciate your time to give us a review for future customers to read.

As each event is individual and no two are ever the same, we put a lot of time and effort into getting everything right. We love to see the customers photos and videos as it gives us a great amount of satisfaction seeing the reactions from the guests. This however is up to your discretion. We will never post any customers photos without permission.
